Good Day Charlotte

I had an amazing opportunity to chat about my blog on Fox 46 Good Day Charlotte this past Sunday with fellow Aggie, Felicia Lawrence. It was such an adrenaline rush to be on live television. I chatted about wardrobe must haves for a fatshionista and holiday outfit ideas. My two models, Julie and Mallory, showed off looks from Chic and Curvy Boutique that were perfect for any occassion, whether it's for office parties or New Years Eve. It was such a great experience and I'm excited for the new heights my blog is reaching. Thank you to everyone who tuned in!

Laced Up

I absolutely love anything with laces! Tops, dresses, and bodysuits with lace up detailing are such a fun way to be a little sexy and show a little cleavage. Being a tall girl, this dress from Pinkclubwear definitely fit like a top, so I tucked it under a wine pleated faux leather skirt. Staying true to the laces theme, I wore knee high boots from Torrid.

Beauty & Breakfast At Nordstrom

I had the pleasure of being a guest blogger at Nordstrom's fall beauty event again this year. It was a morning of breakfast and beauty with beauty stylist, Terri Craft, who shared beauty trends for the upcoming season. I was able to get my hands on some of these goodies a week prior to the event so I could experiment with them. The fall event featured YSL Radiance Boosting Primer, MAC Studio Water Weight Foundation and brush, La Mer Carryon Value Set and the Renewal Oil, Dior Backstage Pro products, and all of my favorites below. You must visit your local Nordstrom to get your hands on these products!

Here are some of my favorites from the fall beauty show:

1. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer and Caviar Stick
I've never been a fan of tinted moisturizers because I love full coverage, but this one provides lightweight coverage and is very hydrating. I was surprised at how flawlessly if fit into my makeup routine. Another favorite from Laura Mercier, are the Caviar Sticks, which are creamy, easy glide eyeshadow sticks.

2. Jo Malone London Mimosa and Cardamom Cologne
This was my first Jo Malone fragrance and on top of that it was a warm clean smell, which is right up my alley. I'm obsessed with this scent and it's been my daily scent.

3. Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel and Invisablur Protective Shield
Of course you can't talk about beauty without skincare. Better skin has become a mission for me and with it being quite pricey, I was so excited to try out some of the highly talked about Murad products. I've been using the Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel twice a week. It smells so yummy like freshly squeezed oranges! I substitued my primer for the Invisablur Protective Shield. My makeup applies much more smoother and lasts longer!

It's All About The Duster

Kim Kardashian is one of my fashion inspirations. I absolutely love neutral color palette which she mixes into her monochromatic looks. She keeps her wardrobe sexy, fashion forward, and simplistic. Kim thinks her arms her fat, so she always wears an overcoat! In my recent outfit of the day, I wore a head to toe black ensemble to recreate one of Kim's street style looks. I purchased the "Dark Night" duster from Rebdolls. I'm so in love with these lightweight jackets. A simple tank, midi bodycon skirt, and oversized sunglasses completed my same fit done thick.

Here's a color palette that will be popular for fall. You'll be seeing these in my nail polish choices and in future outfit posts. Which color is your fav?

Last Call For White

I ended my Labor Day weekend with a bang in a sexy all white outfit - a lace up bodysuit and a scuba skater skirt. I love how the bodysuit from Pinkclubwear oozes just enough sexiness with the peekaboo cleavage accentuated by the lacing detail. I was dying to get my hands on a scuba skater skirt and was stoked that Chic & Curvy had them available. Skater skirts are perfect for the fatshionista - hides the tummy and creates the illusion of  a waist because of the volume of the skirt. With fringe being one of my favorite trends, my heels added a flirty texture to my look.

Purple Rain

Purple is such a universal color that complements every skin tone! I'm falling in love with it more and more through fashion. I'm so obsessed with the vibrant hue of this bardot style top. I'm still celebrating all that is summer while incorporating fall pieces (this top which comes in so many different colors) into my wardrobe. If you read my blog, you know how much I love the athletic trend, so this jersey waistband skort was a must have! It's so chic and has so much styling versatility. A few fun accessories - oversized sunnies, fringe heels, hoop earrings, and a funky clutch - completed my look. Who's ready for fall?

TCF Style Expo 2015

I hit the road to Atlanta on Saturday to attend the The Curvy Fashionista Style Expo hosted by Marie Denee. Marie's blog and popular Instagram hashtag #TCFStyle was brought to life in the form of a complete fashion experience for plus size gals. I attended the brunch where I was able to finally see the beautiful faces behind the blogs I've read over the years and enjoy good ole southern cooking. The day was full of shopping, music, panel discussions, food and drink, and tons of picture taking. I never attended an event strictly for plus size women and I was so blown away at how so many people came from all over the country to show their support and to join in on the festivities. I was excited to finally meet three of the girls from my organization, Big Girls Link Up, and many of my social media followers and blog readers! For those who missed this year don't worry, there's always next year.
