Pretty Period.

I had the amazing opportunity to do a joint photoshoot with my best friend, Crystal. We both received the "Pretty Period" baseball jersey from Flaws of Couture's "Pretty Period Collection." If you're unfamiliar with FOC, it's a clothing line created by two Canadian sisters to promote self esteem and celebrate women of every size. Like many other fabulous plus size women I've been told, "You're pretty for a big girl" and I'm wondering if I was insulted or complimented. However, the way my confidence and genes are set up, I know I'm pretty period. Flaws of Couture's statement clothing allows you to rock your confidence proudly. Get into their movement and shop today.

Love Wearing All Black, You Should See My Closet

I have been completely obsessed with mid-section cutout dresses. It shows just enough skin without feeling too self conscious about your tummy being bared in a crop top. I absolutely love this little black dress from Sophisticated Divas Boutique. The ruching along the front hides your trouble areas and gives an appearance of a bigger booty. The slinky, stretch light material made it very comfortable. For a pop of color, I wore leopard platforms and a wine lip. I straightened my Eurasian Wavy hair from Evolve Virgin Hair for the first time and absolutely LOVE how silky and shiny it looks. I've had the install for a little over a month and by far this is my favorite hair. Check out Sophisticated Divas Boutique to add this LBD to your wardrobe.

Florals in the Winter

Who says florals are for spring and summer? Florals can still be incorporated in your winter wardrobe while making a big, chic statement. The key to pulling this off is looking for dark romantic florals. I fell in love with this polo neck t-shirt from Forever 21+. I wanted this pale pink skater skirt months ago, but couldn't locate my size and there it was at my local Forever 21. It was a sign, so I scooped both pieces and created this outfit while at the register. Leather thigh high boots and a quilted clutch added a touch edge and a matching pink turban headband completed the look! I love playing with makeup and whipped up a fall lip consisting of Nightmoth lipliner, Styled In Sepia lipstick, and Viva Glam Nicki 2. Hope you enjoy my look!

Wearing Furs Like It's Snowing in the South

With dropping temperatures, it's definitely appropriate to bring out a faux fur to keep warm during those fun party nights. I recently purchased a red and black striped faux fur coat from BooHoo. I am absolutely in love with its luxurious look and feel. It's definitely a bold statement piece yet fun and flirty. I paired it with my little black dress from By Grisel's holiday's collection for Rebdolls, which I featured in a previous blog post.

Keep Calm and Wear Evolve

Keep calm and wear Evolve! I'm a proud brand ambassador for Evolve Virgin Hair Boutique located right here in Charlotte (3123 N Davidson Street). Unlike many hair companies, Evolve has a chic storefront in the artsy NoDa area where you can shop different textures and even order hair. I was apart of a photoshoot for the company alongside three other fabulous women a few weeks ago. If you follow me on Instagram, you've seen my long tresses styled in a middle part. This is probably my favorite hair to date because it's low maintenance. I'm currently wearing the Eurasian Wavy in a medium coarse texture in 24", 26", and 2 28". I was very skeptical about the hair texture because I'm so used to wearing Brazilian hair, but the sheen, luster, and thickness blends so well with my natural hair and looks so natural. Evolve doesn't stop at just virgin hair - they carry haircare supplies, Hairfinity pills, and mink eyelashes.  Here are some amazing photos from the photoshoot.
