Why Don't You Model?

I've always been asked "Why don't you model?" I never pictured myself in front of the camera. I've always been the creative director kind of girl like Grace Coddington of Vogue. I love wardrobe styling, doing makeup, and creating the overall vision. A friend dubbed me the #SelfieSlayer on Instagram, but posing and being photographed professionally always gives me anxiety! I stepped out of my comfort zone and decided to shoot with the infamous camera of "Eye of Ray." My friend kept pushing me to take photos saying you never know what you could possibly need them for. It's 2014 and I'm all about my branding this year, so some of these photos will be used for just that. I wore two dresses very similar except the colors are reversed - one from Love Drunk Boutique and another from a local boutique, Pleasantly Plump Boutique. I never knew what hard work actually goes into modeling - posing, smiling, posture, not only looking pretty, but feeling pretty. Kudos to all of my favorite plus size models! I have so much in store this year and I can't wait to unveil some of my projects in the next few weeks.

Oh, I couldn't forget about my gorgeous beauty headshots. My Madelyn Virgin Hair was so luscious and natural in these photos. I'm more in love with this hair each day. These photos are probably my favorite out of them all. Don't forget to check out my favorite hair supplier's site for amazing sales on virgin brazilian hair.

Jigga What? Jigga Who?

I promised myself that in 2014 I would attend more concerts and watch more movies. I never go to concerts or movies. I have this weird theory that my life is passing me by while I'm stuck in one location watching something. Saturday I attended Jay Z "Magna Carter World Tour" concert with my best friend Crystal. It was such a last minute decision (the concert started at 8pm and Crystal called me at 7:49pm). I never got dressed that fast and did hair and make-up. I threw on the quickest outfit keeping my studded combat boots as the focal point. The athletic trend is still one of my favorites, so this oxblood varsity t-shirt has been in rotation in my wardrobe. A studded faux leather moto jacket and a simple black body con skirt completed the outfit of the night.I had the best time at the concert rapping along to every song with the rest of the thousands of people in attendance. I never realized how old I am until I heard his old hits "Hard Knock Life" and "Jigga Who." I have a new level of admiration for Jay Z. Have you attended the MCWT concert in your city?

Say Hello To 2014

This was my best New Years Eve to date! The year 2013 was so good to me, so I had so much to celebrate. My day was every bit of glamour and fabulousity that I hoped it to be. I spent the entire day pampering - nails, hair, makeup. I wore a sparkly, teal sequin dress from Chic and Curvy Boutique with nude pumps. Gold earrings and the "Glam" clutch from Shop Fresh Picks complimented the teal dress perfectly. My makeup was one of my all time favs. I got help from a makeup artist friend to give me a smokey eye with some transclucent teal glitter to match my dress. I reinstalled my Madelyn Virgin Hair a few days before NYE and I'm more in love with the hair the second time. It's so soft, curls well, and is so manageable. A friend pincurled my tresses to achieve big curls for the big night. I brung in the new year with my best friends and loved every moment. I can't wait to see what 2014 brings - wealth, health, and love. What are some of your New Year Resolutions?
