Yeah, I Heard She's A Wild One

I was so excited that DeQueen Collection selected me review not one, but two dresses from their new plus size dress collection. DeQueen Collection is a dress line dedicated to women of all sizes, but specializes in sizes 10-24. The owner who seen a market that was not being catered to as much and decided to join the fashion world and offer curvy girls more figure flattering dresses. DeQueen Collection is for the woman with curves and confidence and not scared to show them off. The line offers contemporary dresses and the motto is "redefining the limits on curves." I wore the "Drew" dress in zebra print a few weeks ago and the "Zoe" leopard dress last night. I got both dresses in a 2X because of the incredible stretch. The dresses are 100% polyester. I've been obsessed with animal prints this spring and summer. So many companies are incorporating animal prints in their designs, changing the colors, and even combining multiple prints into one fabulous garment. Every girl should have a SLD, sexy leopard dress, in her wardrobe. The "Zoe" dress was my absolute favorite because of the print, comfortable fit, and quality material. I have my eye on the white "Faye" dress next. Follow me on Instagram for more exclusive photos - @miatheboss.

Day to Night

I rarely get to show you all my casual, laid back outfits, well that's because I don't really have everyday clothing. My previous job was a hotel manager, so I wore business suits everyday so my closet is full of dressy blouses. I have so much shopping to do to incorporate more bottoms, skirts, and tops for everyday relax wear. Any ways, Saturday I went to dinner with my best friend from high school at Cheddar's and opted for something weather appropriate. It was nearly 70 degrees, so I had to let my pedicured toes out. A simple white t-shirt, denim jacket, and leggings kept me cool and chic. I recently purchased a rose gold Michael Kors Runway watch, which was all the arm candy I needed. I love casual looks like these because accessories make it pop - my leopard sandals, gold cross earrings, aviator sunglasses, and vintage purse Louis Vuitton Speedy contributed some edge.

Later that night, a few gal pals and I celebrated my dear friend Alexis's birthday at Caviar Nightlife. I love the pink couches in the VIP area, which complemented my outfit, I wore my ASOS colored snake body con dress. For those who've seen this dress before, you're probably wondering why there's a scoop in the front ... I flipped the dress around and cut out the tag. The scoop in the back isn't my style at all and this is something I frequently do with their dresses. I chose my patent leather nude Vince Camuto pumps and a hot pink Olivia + Joy purse to add the final touches to my outfit of the night. Of course, a hot pink "Candy Yum Yum" lip was required. Many ask me about ASOS sizing, but I've experienced trial and error with their sizing. I'm a size 22 and I purchase a UK 12, which is a US 8, but I read the material. Anything with 5% spandex or elastane works. However, I've had to return 5 items that didn't fit both from straight sizes and the curve line. I'm going to start ordering a UK 14/US 10 for future.

Dreamzz Hair Collection Review: Part 3

I received numerous tweets and Instagram comments asking to do a review on the hair again. I got the hair installed in February and had no issues with it for the first month. The longer lengths, 24" and 28", began to tangle, knot, and shed terribly. Also, the ends were extremely straggly looking and split. It was quite strange because the shorter lengths, the 18" and 22", were perfectly fine. I deep conditioned the hair and let the conditioner sit for a few hours, which seemed to work but after a few days the issue resumed. The hair began to shed more and knot up. The knots weren't able to be combed through causing a bunch of hair to come out. I expressed this concern with Dreamzz Hair and they were very shocked and sent me two new bundles in 28" and 30". The the ends were straggly again, so I was hesistant to install these two. I got the new hair installed on Friday by the fabulous Tara of Royalty Beauty Bar. My initial thought was to remove the hair in the back and install the new bundles, but my stylist recommended to leave them in and just add the new hair. After unraveling the 30" bundle it wasn't even a full bundle. It was enough to double the track and that was it! I was so shocked. Most bundles are 4 ounces and this one couldn't be that. It was confirmed by Dreamzz, that the 30" bundle was only 3.5 ounces. Tara did an excellent job and my hair longevity will probably be another 2-3 weeks. The new hair is not dyed, so when blended with my jet black hair it has a higlighted, almost ombre effect. Because of styling, my hair never looks bad, but the way it was shedding and knotting up, I was very frustrated. Overall, I've been pleased with the service of Dreamzz Hair. She has been very receptive to my feedback and concerns and has since found a different vendor to ensure higher quality. For those who have purchased this hair, what are your experiences?

Cool Grays

It's rare that I dress casual when I go out, but I wasn't in the mood rocking a form fitting dress after the Easter Sunday feast. I changed my outfit like three times because I realized I didn't have any dressy tops, which just means some spring shopping is due. I went to a Sunday night hot spot in NoDa, Empire, which was crazy packed and very fun. It was a cool night, so I opted for faux leather side panel leggings, a graphic tank, and a jean jacket. My favorite gray suede fringe booties spiced up the outfit contributing some texture and flair.I revisited one of my favorite lippies, Snob by MAC, to match my baby pink gel nails.
