Swimsuits For All Review

Summer means sun, tanning, vacations, beaches, cookouts, pool parties, and waterparks! As a plus size woman, I know the pain and frustration of swimsuit shopping. Many retail stores carry plus size swimsuits that have lackluster, boring, ancient silhouettes. Just because we're bigger girls doesn't mean we can't have fashionable swimwear options. Then there comes the psychological part of feeling fat and uncomfortable in a swimsuit. Trust me, I've been there! I had the amazing opportunity to work with Swimsuits For All, who carry hundreds of fashionable swimsuits to fit every body type for the style savvy fatshionista. I was amazed at all of the pictures on their Instagram of customers flaunting their curves in their swimsuits and I told myself, "Mia, you are going to get a freaking bikini." I selected two fabulous swimsuits for review - a black fringe one piece and a leopard bikini with high waisted bottoms. I teamed up with a local photographer, Chris Miles, to be a model for a day, which is so not my thing. Chris e-mailed me months ago saying he wanted to work with me because he sees how I motivate young women to feel confident in their skin, so it was only right to have someone who supported me be my photographer. I always wanted to reach a certain goal weight before I rocked a bikini, but why let something like that hinder me from such a thing. I never felt more beautiful, confident, and sexy than I did at the moment in the leopard bikini - rolls, arm fat, and a big stomach. Take a look at all the fun below.

The black fringe suit features a halter style strap that can be removed to be strapless. I love that feature because it doesn't get in the way of tanning and you won't have an awful tan line like I did. I ordered a size 22, which fit perfect! Fringe is such a big trend right now and one of my personal favorites. The leopard swimsuit was my absolute favorite, however, the top doesn't give much support for bigger busts. I am normally a size 22, and ordered the leopard swimsuit in a 18. (I ordered a 22 in a white swimsuit and the bottoms were so saggy and big, so knew to go down a few sizes) The bikini bottom doesn't really suck you in, which I didn't really like considering my stomach is my "problem area." Overall, I was very impressed at their selections and also their mission to make plus size women feel sexy and confident.

I hope my self accomplishment motivates and empowers you to take risks and go against the grain. Ultimately, you have to do what makes you happy and say screw what society says! BIG GIRLS YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!
